PHR ExamREADINESS Intensive Practice Test Module

273 Practice Test Questions

Covering the latest HRCI test specification.

According to the HRCI, the voluntary PHR (Professional in Human Resources) certification process shows that the holder has demonstrated mastery of the domestic or international HR body of knowledge. PHR questions are more at the operational/technical level. SPHR questions, on the other hand, are more at the strategic and/or policy level.

The PHR exam is available via the Prometric test centers. It is computer based - no need for paper and pencil at all. It has 165 multiple choice questions. The passing score (scaled) is 500 while 700 is the maximum possible score. HRCI does recommend that a PHR candidate has 2-4 years of exempt-level professional HR work experience before sitting the exam.

In order to earn the PHR certification, a candidate must fulfill the eligibility requirement (candidate must have as a minimum two years of relevant experience). For the latest exam test windows and fees, visit http://www.hrci.org/certification/ov/. You may download the necessary paperwork from there as well.

Topics that have to be dealt with in the exam include:

STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT
WORKFORCE PLANNING AND EMPLOYMENT
HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT
TOTAL REWARDS
EMPLOYEE AND LABOR RELATIONS
RISK MANAGEMENT
CORE KNOWLEDGE

The PHR exam is comprehensive. One has to go through a lot of readings for learning the various exam topics. However, most readings do not come with any practice questions as they were never intended for exam prep use right from the beginning.

Intensive practice and review can focus your attention to your weak areas. This is where we fill the gap - you may think of our ExamREADINESS Testprep product as the unofficial supplement to the various exam readings, or you may view it as a standalone module with a focus on building up your exam readiness, THROUGH 273 UNIQUE PRACTICE QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS.

A number of major HR texts were referenced for creating the practice questions, including:

Human resources administration : personnel issues and needs in education / L. Dean Webb, M. Scott Norton. (1999).
The complete guide to human resources and the law / Dana Shilling. (1998).
Human resources in the 21st century / editors, Marc Effron, Robert Gandossy, Marshall Goldsmith. (2003).
Human resources jumpstart / Anne M. Bogardus. (2004).
Managing Human Resources in North America / (EDT) Steve Werner (2007)
Human Resources Management (6ed) / Nel etc.(2004)

Essentials of Organizational Behavior / Stephen Robbins and Timothy Judge (2008)

HOW TO USE THIS PRODUCT

The goal of the practice module is NOT to test your memorization skill. We are not providing you with "real questions" for memorization and cheating. We are giving you practice questions for assessing your knowledge on the different (and difficult) exam topics.

One frequent question encountered when studying for a major exam like this one is whether you have read enough. It is an unfortunate fact that no single text on earth would be sufficient for guaranteed passing with a margin. The more you read, the more you are prepared.

The thing is, with limited time and energy, you just can’t read everything. You need to be selective in choosing what to read and what to focus on. If you place the wrong focus, you risk failing the exam.

We develop this review questions module by performing extensive research on a wide array of reference texts. The goal is to provide coverage that is as completed and comprehensive as possible.  If you fail to answer a question, the module will point you to the right source so you may research into the topic accordingly. By going through this process you will know whether you have done enough reading or not, and where you should put further efforts on.

Think the real exam is tough? Wait until you see this PHR ExamREADINESS module. The ExamREADINESS PHR questions are designed to drill you through the human resources contents topic by topic. They are well-written, technically accurate and completely representative of the kind of challenge you are about to face when preparing for the PHR exam. If you can handle the ExamREADINESS questions, you will have no problem with the real exam.
