GCSE Business Studies
The
major knowledge domains covered by the exam include Business Organization
& Objectives, The External Environment, Marketing, Finance, Managing
People in a Business, Production and Operations.
To get a
good grade in GCSE Business Studies, you need to master the knowledge of
the subject matters and also exercise good question answering techniques.
The two kinds of difficult
questions that you will encounter are Analytical questions and Evaluative
questions. The former will require that you tell the pros and cons of an
action or an issue. The latter will require that you draw a reasonable conclusion
basing on your very own judgment.
To answer
these questions you must be able to apply knowledge - not just the
definitional knowledge but also information on a wide range of more advanced
topics. You'll have to show to the examiner that you are "knowledgeable"
enough to apply straightforward business theories for evaluating and solving
complex "real world" like problems.
You need
to equip yourself with sufficiently sophisticated business knowledge and
information for coming up with a sound argument. You need to be able
to present both sides of this argument. And you must be able to lay out
comprehensive information for supporting your
argument.
