CEH Study Guide 2008 & Tech Drill Practice Questions

According to the EC Council, an Ethical Hacker is an individual who is usually employed with the organization and who can be trusted to undertake an attempt to penetrate networks and/or computer systems using the same methods as a Hacker. The CEH Program accordingly certifies individuals in the specific network security discipline of Ethical Hacking from a vendor-neutral perspective.

The CEH certification is relatively hands-on when comparing with CISSP which is more conceptual. To earn the Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) V5 certification, you need to pass an exam which consists of 125 multiple choice questions within 3 hours. The pass/fail cut score is approximately at 70%. You'll need to fill out and submit a CEH Exam Application Form before taking the exam via the Self Study route. You first fill out the form (which can be obtained through EC-Council's web site), then submit it to EC-Council, and they should provide you with a code to be used to register for the exam. You should do so a week or two head of your planned exam schedule.
